Our Client, a Wall Street-based Hedge Fund has an immediate need for a Linux Systems Support S/A to join the team immediately in a contract (3-6 months) to permanent capacity. Appropriate candidates will have 3+ years experience supporting a mission critical, Red Hat (AS/ES) or Novell Suse Linux based server environment, ideally in financial services (not a must). Some Windows and network required. Sun Solaris experience a plus. Strong communication skills required as this individual will be required to interface with traders and third-party software vendors. Strong scripting skills (Perl, C, K) required. DNS, NFS and LDAP exposure a must. SAN experience (HP, Dell, EMC) a strong plus. Veritas a plus (VxCS, VxVM, VxFS, Volume Replicator)
