Genesis10 currently has a full time opening for one of our largest banking clients in New York City
Duties include:
- Providing 2nd Level support to the bank's Fidessa trading system and other bank applications
- Coordinating with UNIX, Networking and database team's to resolve issues
- Coordinating and assisting regular contingency tests for the Fidessa application and other various applications.
- Working with the business, developers and quality control teams to resolve and document issues
- Assisting in testing, rollouts and the change management process
- Ensuring all issues are tracked and resolved in a timely manner, Also assisting in producing any requirement or test case documents.
- Creating and maintaining support scripts and procedures
- Assisting in development tasks and longer term projects
- Coordinating with 3rd party vendors and support teams
Experience: Education: College or university degree
Experience Required:
- Graduate Level Computing qualification
- 2 years 1st or 2nd level support experience
- Scripting and programming experience (e.g. TCL, Perl, C++)
- SQL experience
- Ability to communicate effictively verbally and written with management and team members
- Ability to take ownership of tasks and take responsibility through to resolution
- Understanding of the FIX protocol would be an advantage
