.Net Programmer in Brooklyn, NY

UNIVERSAL Technologies is seeking a .Net Programmer to join our Brooklyn, NY team. The position requires strong analytical and architectural skills with emphasis on generating multiple solutions to a business problem. Experience with Microsoft architectural areas as well as a broad technical background is needed. In addition, the successful candidate must have a good understanding of HTML, CSS, java script, VB script, and strong skills in SQL Server 2000. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Maintenance and support existing VB.NET and ASP.Net applications.
  • Analyze, develop, test, maintain, and support new .Net applications and take a hands-on approval in all phases of the development process with emphasis on good testing methodology.
  • Writing and optimizing stored procedures, triggers, function and all aspects of T-SQL programming with emphasis on database design and development.

Experience: To be considered for the position, candidates must possess the following mandatory skills and experience:

  • Minimum four years of information systems experience
  • Experience with VB.Net and ASP.Net
  • Experience with DHTML, VB Script, and Java Script
  • Extensive experience with SQL Server 2000 and T-SQL
  • Extensive experience with DTS packages and Stored Procedures
  • Database design with familiarity with Erwin / Visio or other data modeling tool
  • Experience with version control and configuration management systems, such as SourceSafe
  • Experience with reading, authoring and editing XML documents
  • Excellent analytical skills
