.Net Architect in NEW YORK, NY

Saturday, December 15, 2007
Our client is beginning a project to transition its principal IT platform from a Tandem mainframe to a WINTEL/SQL/.NET architecture. Rather than simply reverse-engineering and recoding the current software, we intend to analyze our current legacy applications against our current operational requirements as well as the modernization and development work we have done to date. We are looking for a contract Software Analyst/Designer to assist in the design and development of our new systems. We anticipate that this consultant would work daily in our Midtown Manhattan offices for approximately 6 months, though the timeframe may be longer or shorter depending on the results of the analysis and future requirements.

The consultant would be responsible for working with our current staff to complete the following tasks:

Create a current functional design specification by analyzing the legacy applications (in TAL, Fortran, C+) and current operational requirements.

Create a high-level software and database design/architecture (target: C#, SQL, .NET)
