Job Description:
DoubleClick's Ad-Serving system is the company's most critical the industry's highest performing ad delivery platform. Our distributed, reliableand high performance applications help web publishers, marketers and ad agencies deliver billions of digital events every day.
We are looking for a high energy, high caliber technical lead/engineering manager to lead our SWAT team that solves the toughest of technical challenges, handles scalability, availability and performance issues. Must posses a solid understanding of application architecture and capable of doing hands-on troubleshooting whenever necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a small team of highly talented engineers and QAs as a SWAT team for production support
- Manage adserving platform troubleshooting and incident reports
- Prioritize and facilitate architecting the infrastructure projects for scalability, capacity growth and removing performance bottlenecks
- Work with other engineering, operation and client support groups to track, dispatch and resolve helpdesk tickets
- Develop and enhance metrics to measure volume growth,system performanceand problem issues
Requirements:
- BA/BS degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent (MS preferred)
- At least6 years ofserver application development experience(C++ preferred), with at least 2 years in a technical leadership capacity
- Proficiency in C++ and/or Java
- Fluency in Perl or other scripting languages
- Solid workingknowledge of Windows operating system
- Fluency in writing SQL
- Strong understanding of networking principles, load balancing and HTTP protocols
- Solid experience of high performance distributed application systems and performance testing
- Flexible and adaptive to a fast-faced, challenging environment
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and coordination skills and proven ability to work effectively withcross-functional teams
