Contract Project Manager with a strong emphasis on IT Infrastructure.

Project Description:
Manage project(s) to move all IT infrastructure for financial services office and data center.
Summary:
The area of concentration is IT infrastructure move projects involving servers, blade servers, networks, trading floor workstations, databases, storage and data center facilities; very complex environment with a low tolerance for down-time. Contractor will be expected to apply Project Management skills and methodologies to manage a large complex move project on time, within budget and with a high degree of quality. The successful contractor will work with business and technology groups during the planning stages of the move and help with technology decisions and direction.
Required skills:
5+ years of Project Management experience in large and complex infrastructure environments.
Experience working on more than one large move project is required.
Knowledge of Project Management standards and methodologies are needed and Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is preferred.
Experience working in the financial industry is desired but not necessary
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Strong Team Leadership skills
Desirable skills include strong knowledge of and experience with Windows and UNIX platforms, Server hardware, Messaging systems, SAN Storage, VMWare, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, large converged Data/Voice Networks and data center facilities.
Experience managing projects using MS Project and/or other enterprise tools.
Experience: $150 per Hour
