Position: Command Center Engineer
Position Summary:
• This position will manage technical aspects of Command Center Activities in support of branch office network and desktop migration activities, including responsibility for troubleshooting and providing Tier-2 support for field engineers.
Qualifications:
• Must possess a bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and 3 years experience working in a desktop and/or network engineering or support capacity or 5+ years experience working in a desktop and/or network engineering capacity; demonstrated working knowledge of system and network migration a plus; excellent customer service, verbal and written skills. Working experience with Cisco product line and Cisco certification a plus.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Review Detailed Design Documents (DED) Network Engineers
• Execute detailed implementation and migration instructions for each network change
• Support desktop and other end-user device migrations
• Interface with the NOC, engineering team and architecture team
• Receive technical escalations from Field Technicians for network and desktop issues
• Provide on-call support as needed
• Establish and perform quality-assurance checks and network monitoring tests
• Perform requirements analysis based on site surveys, customer interviews, and other inputs
• Identify and document site preparation requirements
• Review detailed implementation and migration instructions for network changes
• Work with team to develop migration support processes
• Perform post-pilot review of each phase to validate findings and apply to process
