Great Plains Support Analyst in LONG ISLAND CITY, NY

1. Provide Great Plains support to local and remote computer system users.

- Evaluate and maintain a log of user problems and their solution.

- Work with Great Plains, other program authors, or our local systems provider to fix problems and prevent their recurrence.

- Modify system reports as required.

2. Provide Great Plains FRx support to local and remote computer systems users.

3. Use Crystal Reports to maintain existing reports and develop new reports as required by users.

4. Document the system as used and subsidiaries.

5. Train new users.

6. Install Great Plains and third-party programs on local personal computers.

7. Test system enhancements before they are installed. Document enhancements and train users to fully take advantage of new features.

8. Provide support to local users of company-installed programs and systems, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access.

9. Provide backup for the Data Integration Specialist – process EDI when she is on vacation or otherwise unavailable.
Experience: Main Functions:
Provide technical and operational support to company-wide users of the Great Plains system. Work with end-users and program authors to keep the system stable and reliable and current.

Requirements: BS Computer Science or equivalent experience. 3+ years Help Desk experience, preferably supporting Great Plains Dynamics. Experience with Windows2000, XP and Vista operating systems and their utility programs. Experience with SQL2000 and/or SQL2005.
